Fun Palace, the dream of Architect Cedric Price and Joan Littlewood, a lover of theatre, was re-imagined by our team as carnival of mixed realities. True to the original idea - we created a space for the public to engage in song, dance, theatre, the sharing of knowledge. The Difference? We re-imagined this through interactions with mixed realities; virtual reality, augmented reality, and other interactive experiences.

Being a location-specific collection of art installations, re-creating the physical space we were going to eventually present our work in was critical. By simulating the physical space in the digital world, we were able to control space, lighting, sound, and test traffic flow etc. And then duplicate these simulated variables in the real world.

With a team of 3 developers, 2 user experience specialists, 2 designers, and an artist, I led the project management for the development of the art installations and the actual event.

With a 6-week deadline, and tickets to the show sold out before preparation even began, the pressure was real!
